Names, locations, or other details entered into a search box may be passed to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Gilmer County Inmate Population does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.

If you email us or send a message through a contact option, we use the message and any reply address to respond. We do not share that message outside our organization unless a valid legal requirement applies.

This site links to WVDCR searches, sheriff and court pages, BOP and ICE locators, VINE, statutes, and third-party search tools. West Virginia public-record requests are handled by the record custodian under FOIA sections 29B-1-3 and 29B-1-4, not by this site's privacy process. Once you leave this site, the other website's privacy notice and terms control how your information is handled.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites for interest-based ads. That tracking is handled by those partners, not by a Gilmer County government office.
